Industry-led project by Emirates Villages Council for Rural Development collaboration with Zayed University to document the stories of the area through design. My part looks at the daily souk life of people of Umm Al Quwain before the abandoned of the place and the liveness of it.

In the heart of Old Umm AlQuwain, a bustling Souk unfolds like a vivid tapestry of daily life. My endeavor delves into the rich stories woven by the town›s seasoned inhabitants, offering a glimpse into their vibrant existence. The air is alive with tales passed down through generations, each whispered narrative painting a portrait of the community's shared history. As I wander through the lanes, echoes of laughter mingle with the aromatic scents of spices and iron rust. The marketplace, a thriving hub of connection, unfolds its diverse tapestry of memories, embodying the spirit of a bygone era. From the whispers of elders to the quaint storefronts that once stood proud, my work seeks to encapsulate the lively heartbeat of Old Umm AlQuwain's past, preserving the essence of a time steeped in tradition and camaraderie
في قلـب أم القيويـن القديمـة، ينكشـف سـوق نابـض بالحيـاة كسـجادة حيـة للحيــاة اليوميــة. جهــدي يستكشــف القصــص الغنيــة المنسوجة مــن قبــل ســكان المنطقة المخضبين بالزمــن، مقدًًمــا نظــرة علــى وجودهــم الحيــوي. الهـواء يعـج بحكايـات تنقلهـا للأجيال، حيـث ترسـم كل قصـة همسـة لوحـة مــن تاريــخ المجتمع المشترك. وأنــا أتجــول في الأزقة، يــمزتج صــدى الضحــك بعطــور التوابــل والحديــد الصــدأ الســوق، مركــز نابــض بالحيــاة للتواصــل، يكشــف ســجله المتنوع للذكريــات، يجســد روح عصر مضى. مــن همســات الشــيوخ إلى المتاجر الصغيرة التي إنحنت في الزمــن، يســعى عملــي لتجســيد نبــض حــي الأمس في أم القيويــن القديمــة، حافظًا علــى جوهــر زمــن غني بالتقاليــد والتآلــف.
